Leterrier Talks Clash of the Titans

IMG_1303LouisLeterrier3Crop8x10 Talking to ECranLarge, Louis Leterrier revealed details of the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake.

Apparently he’s a big fan of the original film. He disclosed that the film iwll not be shot in 300 style – aka green screen or CG – but that it will be "photo realistic" and will serve as a homage to stop-motion pioneer Ray Harryhausen who was responsible for the amazing work in the original.

Leterrier confirmed that the Kraken will be returning, but that there may be some differences. He also noted that the film will be set up as the first in a potential franchise using Perseus as the hero to take on other Greek mythological stories.

The aim, he stated, is to do the story with a new point of view, and not a direct remake. As for the project’s status, he said that he is working with Lawrence Kasdan on the script right now so the project will take some time.
