Various sites are reporting that Screen Media Films has acquired worldwide rights to thriller Lake City, which stars Sissy Spacek, Troy Garity, Dave Matthews and others.

The film follows a man who goes to the rural Virginia home of his mother to hide from the drug dealer of his estranged wife.

Written and directed by Perry Moore and Hunter Hill, the film will be released in New York, Los Angeles and five urban markets on November 7.
