In more casting news, Peter Krause has joined the cast of Beastly, the upcoming film adaptation of Alex Flinn’s fantasy novel.
He joins Mary-Kate Olsen, Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in this retelling of Beauty and the Beast, which is being directed by Daniel Barnz.
Krause is best known for starring in Six Feet Under and NBC’s fall drama Parenthood. He will play the role of the materialistic father of a rich, handsome teen (Pettyfer) who plays a cruel joke on a classmate not knowing she’s a witch (Olsen).
Shooting is currently underway in Montreal.
