It appeared as if the first one the producers worked harder at to make it a movie worth watching. Whereas the others seemed more pointless. I'd love to see the female pirate aspect expanded. There were quite a bit of female pirates. Although the pirate culture back then was short-lived, there are some famous female pirates that the writers and producers can cull information from for a worthwhile adventure. Priates usually fought for ships under the guise of a king or queen. Even islands Caribbean were won and lost over and over again by pirates. I have yet to see that aspect drawn out in the film.
