Jude Law and Forest Whitaker are set to star in “Repossession Mambo”. Miguel Sapochnik is set to make his Directorial Debut from the script of tandem Eric Garcia and Garrett Lerner. The futuristic tale shows a man, who had gotten a heart transplant, on the run from a man trying to reclaim them for not making payments.
So what it sounds like is “Repossession Mambo” is a bit of a comedy wrapped up in a Sci-Fi flick. At least I hope so because can anyone really take that plot seriously if it is not?
The film will begin shooting this fall.

The Repossession Mambo is a comedy, a dark one at that, but it’s kind of a sci-fi/comedy/action thing. I’ve read the script (I work at a company that lost out to produce it), it’s fantastic and incredibly weird and dark. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but it sure as hell is mine.
