Vinnie Jones has signed on for the comedy Wedlocked as well as Joe Carnahan’s upcoming prequel Smokin’ Aces: Blowback.
Jones will play a Croatian mobster in Wedlocked who attempts to kidnap his crush, who is on her honeymoon with the American man she married to get US citizenship. Written and to be directed by Rob Hedden, the film also stars Dave Annable and Katharine McPhee.
Blowback sees Jones playing an assassin gunning for a mob snitch hiding in Las Vegas. The project also stars Tom Berenger, Clayne Crawford, Tommy Flanagan and Maury Sterling.
It is being directed by P.J. Pesce and will be released direct to DVD.
