Every year, Adam Green (the guy who brought you Hatchet, among others) and crew get together for Halloween to make a special short film.  And admittedly, it wasn’t looking good this year, until they got one idea which they proceeded to knock out in about forty five minutes, Jack Chop.

Jack Chop is actually a parody of the well-known Shamwow commercials as a fellow named Nicolo (that’s what his name sounded like, anyway, he only said it the once) proceeds to sell us a product.  And of course, this won’t end well at ALL.

Nicolo is an extraordinarily foul mouthed individual, so I’ll warn you up front, this is not safe for work.  But he bravely soldiers on and introduces his product, the Jack Chop, which handles all your Jack O’Lantern carving needs, even those where you cut off a finger.  It’s a very clever advertising parody, and though there isn’t much of a plot to this “short film”, there’s still plenty of fun to be had here.

This poor shill is going to take so much injury trying to sell us a cheap Jack O’Lantern carving system that I almost feel bad for the putz.  Yeah…almost.

The Screenhead Ten Scale admits that this was a riot that looks like it was knocked out in forty five minutes and gives it a seven out of ten.

Do you think maybe it’s a parody of the Slap Chop informercials, rather than Shamwow?

olympic–good point. Though do bear in mind that it’s the same guy selling both products.
