Well, you’ve more than likely heard about it by now, and despite its awful title, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is making most of us wet our pants, and will hands down be the biggest film of the summer.  And now you can watch the trailer. So is it any good? Well, the first half is just clips from the previous three films, but soon we’re treated to plenty of new footage, including Cate Blanchett and her evil Lou-Lou Brooks haircut. It’s hard to comment on something that is a childhood pleasure, but my first reaction to the dialogue was similar to my experience of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Yes, the world seems the same, but there’s something slightly dry and staged about it. Indie’s quips don’t feel as fluid as once before. Perhaps I’m just being old. Nevertheless, I’m still eager to see my childhood hero revived and teach those Pirates of the Caribbean a lesson or two about entertainment.
