id Software: Avary Working on Wolfenstein Project

wolfenstein-1 Despite the writer’s strike delaying the project, id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead confirmed that Roger Avary is currently working on the script for the film version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Hollenshead explained to EuroGamer that “Roger Avary had a commitment that was in line before working the Wolfenstein stuff,” and that he had been in contact with the scribe himself recently, adding that he is “actually working on the script right now.”

The game was set in World War II, having players lead US Army ranger BJ Blazkowicz into Castle Wolfenstein to investigate the Nazis’ SS Paranormal Division.
