I’m watching the show now and my heart goes out to Mario. Stay strong for your mom. You’re the best she got. I hope show goes into treatment and do this for her son. She shouldn’t burden him like that.

The whole show by far was the best thing i’ve seen. It was unbelievable. I cried the whole show simply because I know how it feels to love someone so much who does wrong or are harming them and doesn’t see it.. It hurts. I have a lot of respect for Mario. It’s not easy to let people in. and the show allowed people to know that celebrities have problems too. I wish the best for both of them and even though in my heart I don’t feel that Shawn is ready to love herself I’m glad she trying…….. Sometimes that’s all it takes…

Hi Mario,
May I say that your mom is so truly blessed to have you as a son. With so many negative things going on in the world, especially in the African American community, it’s nice to see another side of us. I have three son’s myself, and to know that there is no greater love than the love of God and the love of a son for his mother, is such a great thing. Sometimes we as parents think we know it all, but fall short.
Thank God for Sons. You were given to your mother as a blessing from God. For you to put your personal life out here for us to see, must have been hard. If your message can help another family, then so be it.
You continue to love your mom, continue to pray for her, and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP ON HER! This is your purpose!
Be Blessed
Love

Hey Mario,
I just want to start off by saying you have a really beautiful mom.I watched the show last night and it reall brought tears to my eyes that is a very hurting thing to go through haveing your mom on Drugs like that… You are the type of son i would love to have one day.You wouldn’t have to worry about asking me to be there when you need me. I do have 2 nephew who are going through the same thing your going through I respect you and commend in every way most people would just give up and have nothing to do with their mom but your doing your thing….
I know it’s hard sometime but trust me she will come around I hope she is still doing her and with rehab what ever you do just “DON’T GIVE UP.
Much Love
STAY BLESSED

dear mario,
I kept saying throughout the show, “where is the little brother?” I can’t ever understand what you trully go through, but I do know that your mother is more than blessed to have a son who is still believing in her after so many disappointments. You continue to push her and be her “strength.” Just remember to never give up on her.

Shawn,
I really commend your son for sharing a part of his life with millions of viewers around the world. I really think it’s important for people to see the human side of a “celebrity.” Because they are real people, but you raised such a strong, talented son who is lucky to have you around.
I have a brother who struggled with an addiction for over twenty years until my mother got sick and he made her a promise to stay clean if she passed. Well she died and he has been clean for seven years. (Thank God)
When I looked in your eyes yesterday I saw someone that was begging for a way out and I begin to pray for God to do something supernatural for you and I believe that he will! This new road will not be easy, but you have so much to live for.. Not only your son, but yourself. I know there are things that you’ve always wanted to accomplish…Well, now is the time! Take charge of your life Mighty Woman of God and take back the years the enemy has stolen from you.
I’ll be looking for you on the screen and can’t wait to see the change that is coming forth through you! You are truly a testimony to many others! Remember the old saying, “Whatever does not kill you can only make you strong.” Well you’re still here for not just a reason, but a great purpose!
Take Care and may God Bless and Be with you always,
Tezzie

Dear Mario,
I am the mother of a nineteen year old son who is a really big fan of yours. After watching your show I too am now a (50 year old) fan, and I fully understand why my son admires you and your music so much. The strength of your inner being just shines through and I believe that a lot of your strength comes from your mom. Despite her addiction you can see that she has the potential to be a powerful woman. I pray that your mom will be able to fight her illness each day and I wish you both only the best.

hey mario,
I’ve been watching your show and im very sorry about whats going on.I hope evertthing goes well with your mom. I can relate to the whole drug addiction thing in your family. You’re a very talented guy and i know that the addiction is takeing a tole on you and your career. its really hard for you and i know it. I’ve been there.. For me, there was nothing i can say or nothing i can do for that person to stop. The drug was controlling that person and it seemed as if he/she didn’t notice that the drug was not only hurting him/her, but hurting the ones that love and care for him/her.
As for your mom, she needs you just as much as you need her.
I noticed that in the show. Any ways, i hope things get better for you and for her. keep your head up. Be strong. Take care.

Mario, hi. I can relate to the way you feel when you have a relative on drugs. My aunt has been addicted for many many years now and she doesn’t intend to stop. My heart went out to you and I will continue to keep you and your mother in my prayers. Know that with God all things are possible and that without him nothing is possible. I know that your mother loves you and I know that you love her as well. I hope that for your sake she will try her best and take the help and advice she is given. GOOD LUCK! I love you and God loves you. Eneshia, KY

Mario, you keep holding on for your mom that’s All YOU can do. I believe that she will come through this long drawn out ordeal. Continue to PRAY for you mom, because without an intervention from god she wont heal. But when you pray dont keep asking god to heal her from her addiction Thank Him and claim her healing when you pray,Because anyone can pray but if you dont have that faith that is’s going to be done then what so just Continue to say “Thank You”.
God Bless!

Hello Mario and Mom,
First of all I would like to say to your Mom, You go girl! Easy does it and one day at a time. Mario you are such a blessing to your mother and to all of us for telling your story. I cried and I sympatised with you. I too am a recovering addict, my drug of choice was crack. I used for 15 years and as of this date I have been clean for twelve years. I have three sons, whom my 17 year old looks like you. He’s a big fan of yours and a very good dancer, football and basketballl player. I too am a fan of yours. Since God has given me the gift of recovery I’ve gone from homelessness to homeowner, I’m in school getting my bachelor’s degree in business and I’m studying to become an addicitions counelor. One day I hope to open my own treatment facility which will strictly cater to woman and their children. God Bless you and your mom. If she’s ever in Washington, DC I would be glad to go to a meeting with her. My email address is ladiang1@hotmail.com, again God bless and I’m so proud of the both of you!

What drugs have joined together let no man put asunder.this man is throwing his money away.i feel so sorry for mario,i cant feel sorry for a junkie.God bless you Mario, you are a good person, but hey she is your mum,as your mum,you must stick by her through thick or thin.my own opinion is that she is just another junkie, knocking on hells door and all the sympathy and help is not going to stop that junkie from killing herself.God bless you boy and i hope you find happiness, men i cant advice you, damn, you have got a problem.i hope you find happiness.hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.Man i feel for you,my heart is so heavy for you.
