Hurt Joins Close

June 17th, 2008 in Actors, TV, Uncategorized

William Hurt signed on “Damages” and will work with his “The Big Chill” co-star Glenn Close. What a caliber of actors on FOX Cable TV. This is Hurt’s first time he’s taken on a role in a TV series.

Hurt starts next week in New York. He plays a client of Close’s character - Patty Hewes - “tough as nails attorney.”  Both characters have a past that is not just professional - whoa.

I am sure with Hurt added to the cast the show’s ratings will increase.   As I recall in “The Big Chill” Hurt and Close did not have that many scenes together.  So, this should prove to be a fruitful adventure.
