Holmes Takes Box Office is Elementary

robertdowneyjrsherlockholmes06.jpgThe fact that Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes figured highest at the box office for Friday’s opening day (a.k.a Christmas Day) is elementary my dear Watson.  Ritchie gets to celebrate the opening as his all time record high and join the rest of the high grossing directors.   But don’t count your blessings to quick Mr. Holmes.  Although the modern day story telling of Holmes is a success, Avatar is not too far behind and may take the weekend box office to Pandora.   We shall see this Sunday.
