Overture Films has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Cooper’s Town Productions, it was announced today. The pair will team up on Unconditional, an adaptation of Brett C. Leonard’s Labyrinth Theater Company play. It features a set of interlocking stories about lonely New Yorkers, focusing on themes such as love, race and betrayal.
It has been reported that Leonard will adapt his own work for the screen, though Hoffman is unlikely to act in the production.
