I really, really want Hitman to be good. As a video game player and as someone who has played the game Hitman, I want it to blow my mind off. I’m tired of those crappy adaptations that never really work on the big screen. Well, now that Hitman is on its way to the big screen, I am holding my breath. It’s got Timothy Olyphant on it so we’ll just see what happens.
With the release date of the film coming up fast (this November), the time of reckoning is at hand.
To help promote the film, a new international movie poster has been revealed. Check it out.
I don’t know about you, but its really very nice.

ok while I am on record as being unhappy with who the cast in the part, I will admit the poster sure do look pretty. I like the last one, all that golden light streaming in around him.
But a posted being pretty does not a good movie make, so I am still on the fence as to how good it will be.

i’ve been watch this movie two days ago…
the hitman wasn’t a bad guy like in the video game, he is a good guy…in the video game there wasn’t any “feel of love” not like in the movie.. but i still like the movie, he is my favourite video game character…

Their choice in casting an unknown like Timothy Olyphant rather than the better known action heroes (aka the producer, Vin Disel, or Jason Statham) was the best choice they could have made for this movie. Other better known actors would give depth and personality to the character that 47 does not necessarily have, simply because viewers would place preconceived ideas of the actors onto the character. By using a no name, who’s facial features were unknown, they gave 47 a blank slate as a character, and a forgettable visage. The small touches, like poisoning a drink and throwing coins are straight out of the game and make a die hard fan giggle with glee. I am waiting breathlessly to add this movie to my private collection. get over the no name, and see the possibilities. One final footnote. I was definitely annoyed at the substitution of orphans for genetically engineered clones, but remember, this is a movie based on a video game, with no involvement of the original creators, there are obviously going to be alterations based on cinema graphic and directorial decisions.
