The first season of NBC’s hit show Heroes has only just recently wrapped up, but already the buzz had begun for the impending August DVD release, and season two developments. Right now, it’s rumored that NBC will be introducing at least four new characters to the show in its sophomore season, with most of them being international.

Claire, everyone’s favorite cheerleader, is set to get herself a sexy new boyfriend to keep her company, and other potential additions to the cast include a surrogate for Nikki’s son, a twenty-something Latina, an Irish mobster, and a 28-year-old black mother. It is believed, however, that these characters will not become regulars, but rather will only do arcs.

I watched the show’s finale this week, and it will be interesting to see where they take season two having solved the major crisis of season one already. Will there be more bad guys like Sylar seeking to steal others’ special powers? What will happen to the company Claire’s father works for? And will the show’s stars fight to save the world yet again?

Don’t forget there is Heroes: Origins, NBC’s answers for the frustratingly long hiatus which cut the show’s ratings this year. As I understand it, the audience will vote on new characters, one of which whom will join the cast full-on.

I agree Heroes tied up the loose ends way too neatly. But remember - Molly said there was someone worse than Syler out there. And I think I can safely say Noah Bennett may need to find a new job - especially now that Linderman and his old boss are both dead.

But there’s still Ms. Petrelli - who hasn’t been explained too much - as well as that whole circle of previous “heroes” who set out to manipulate world events through the bomb itself - that’s the story I looking forward to hearing. How does Hiro’s and Peter’s dads play into all this?

Tied up loose ends? Which show were you watching! Sylar is still alive - which I have to say irritates the living crap outta me, but thats a personal thing that my wife likes to poke fun at - Nathan is obviously gone, but Peter will survive. His mother said as much as she knew all along who was the bomb and that he would be alright.

The character worse then Sylar will be an awesome enemy - I trust - interesting to find out if its male or female. I’d like to see Christopher Ecclestone get back into the cast too.

HRG or ‘Noah’ Bennett will do as his name suggests and set out to shepherd all the characters he can and almost create a job for himself. He’ll be in business with Suresh and they will take care of Molly amongst others is my guess.

I am very keen to see the off-shoot that will hopefully answer some of the questions regarding how it all started - at least in the 20th century. I like the Hiro character very much, but I can only hope they don’t give too much time over to George Takei - that was a casting nightmare and someone needs a good spanking.

Sylar’s still alive, but I don’t think he’ll be a threat - he’s badly wounded, with no healing factor, and Molly can find him at any time. Plus, the bomb is prevented and much fo the steam has been taking out of the previous generation’s plot with both Nathan and Linderman gone.

HRG and Suresh teaming up? I wonder how that will go over - those two don’t seem to get along. I agree about Ecclestone, but I’m not that angry about Takei - he’s good in small doses.
