Orange, tabby cats unite: following in the chubby footsteps of Garfield, a live-action version of the classic ‘70s comic strip Heathcliff is being planned.
The comic, created by George Gately and still penned by his nephew Peter Gallagher, follows an adventurous cat who annoys the manager of the fish store, tips over garbage cans, annoys the milkman and chases pussy(cats) err… female cats.
They hope to create a contemporary live-action/CG hybrid like the treatment given to Garfield and the recent Alvin and the Chipmunks movies.
