Kate Hathaway has been tapped as ShoWest’s female star of the year. An excellent choice if I don’t say so myself — a truly talented actress, so versatile. She transformed in “Brokeback Mountain.”

Hathaway, who was last seen as Jane Austen in “Becoming Jane,” recently completed the adaptation of “Get Smart” alongside Steve Carell, slated for release in June, which I am looking forward too.

Hathaway will be celebrated during ShoWest’s annual convention, March 10-13 in Las Vegas.
