
Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince easily won the top spot at box office this weekend, yet the bulk of its winnings came earlier in its five-day debut.
The 6th installment of the fantasy wizard movie drew in $79.5 million in Friday-Sunday to soar to the top of the domestic rankings. That raised the PG-rated movie’s total box office for the five-day spread to the highest ever for the franchise at $159.7 million.
Worldwide Harry brought in $396.7 million with $237 million from 85 foreign territories since Wednesday, the biggest five-day overseas tally ever.

Good movie, but it seemed sort of rushed. I never read the book so I don’t know if they’re skipping out on some stuff but it sure seemed like they were.

Yes, I agree it did seem rushed — however, the movie is 153 minutes long — go figure. That’s 2.5 hours of film — Half-blood Prince covered a lot of story from the book.
I have read the book. Of course, books are not movies and the movie will be different from the book. I really recommend reading J.K. Rowling books. They are, in a way, different stories from the movies. They are very enjoyable and page turners.

Yes, congratulations is in order! I can’t wait until the next two films. I’d love to see how the director shoots the final chapters of the book – they are special momemts and beautifully written by Rowling.
