Harold and Kumar 2 TrailerHarold and Kumar Go to White Castle ranks probably among the guiltiest of guilty pleasures ever, as well as among my little brother’s favorite movies. So if you didn’t know it was coming - yes, there is a Harold and Kumar 2 in the works, as this teaser shows. Though its listed in YouTube as Harold and Kumar Go to Amsterdam, this appears a bit misleading, as the two bumbling stoners might not reach their intended destination from the looks of the trailer. The high point of the teaser shows an old woman envisoning dark-skinned Kal Penn with a beard and a turban, and subsequently crying terrorist. Rob Corddry makes an appearance as an equally bumbling government agent, and yes, even the infamous Neil Patrick Harris is back for a sequel. While this movie won’t be anywhere near the heights of Corddry’s own former Daily Show role, it is interesting to see even youth comedies taking their own slant against post 9/11 paranoia. As Peter Nellhaus noted, The Invasion couldn’t weather its own theme, but who knows, maybe Harold and Kumar stand a better chance . . . Leave a Reply |
