IMAX Corporation’s Q2 2008 earnings report has revealed that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the upcoming film in the soon-to-end series, will include about 25 minutes of footage shot in IMAX 3D format.
Company CEO Rich Gelfond told shareholders that the footage will be “split between the opening sequence of the film and the finale.”
In comparison, Order of the Phoenix, the previous film in the franchise, featured about 17 minutes of IMAX 3D sequences.
Half-Blood Prince opens on July 17, 2009.
