The Greek gods seem to have cast their spells on Hollywood, as yet another mythology-infused adventure is coming our way. In fact, it’s so far in development that they have finished casting most of the characters – two new cast members were introduced today for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief: Rosario Dawson and Steve Coogan.
An adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best-selling fantasy-adventure book series, the film will follow the world-saving quest of Poseidon’s half-human son, Percy, in modern America.
Coogan and Dawson will play the roles of Hades and his wife Persephone, respectively, with the latter flirting with Jackson’s character. Other cast members include Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Kevin McKidd, Logan Lerman and others.
It is being helmed by Chris Columbus. The role of Ares, the god of war, is yet to be cast.
