The Hollywood Reporter carries word that Ellen Barkin, Famke Janssen and Marc-Andre Grondin (Che) have joined the cast of psychological thriller The Chameleon.
The film tells the story of a reunion of a young man and his family after being positively identified in an unsolved missing-persons case. However, the reunion turns bittersweet when suspicions arise about whether he really is their son.
The missing-found man will be played by Grondin, with Barkin playing the mother and Janssen an FBI agent. The story is inspired by a New Yorker article about a man named Frederic Bourdin who assumed at least 39 identities, three of them missing teens.
Jean Paul Salome directs and co-wrote the film.
