Brian Grazer intends to produce one of the top ten scripts, Tehran through Universal.

The story unfolds around an American professor who is contracted by the U.S. government to observe the tensions in pre-coup Tehran in 1977. He discovers that Iran is rife with political danger and is findings are backed up when he falls in love with an Iranian girl whose brother is a member of the secret police.

Richard Regen’s script generated intense interest after appearing on the blacklist, a compilation of the 10 favorite scripts of film execs and assistants that were penned in 2007.
