The Golden Globes are usually a good indicator of how the Oscars will go, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominations this morning.
Leo DiCaprio got two noms in the Best Actor category for Blood Diamond and The Departed, while Clint Eastwood will also compete against himself for Best Director, getting nods for Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima.
Those waiting for Scorsese to finally win an Oscar will be encouraged to see The Departed nominated for Best Film and old eyebrows himself getting a nom for Best Director.
But the big winners appear to be Babel, which got seven nominations in different categories and The Queen which received both a Best Picture nom and Best Actress recognition for Helen Mirren, who’s going to clean up at the Oscars, just you wait and see.
Using the ancient art of cut and paste, the full list of Golden Globe film nominees are…
