I think The Guardian is an important show with themes like the ever eternal conflicts between the haves and the have nots, father and son, personal gain and society expectations. But most importantly, the Guardian makes us aware of the all important theme of working for yourself (Fallin Law Office) versus working for others (The Legal Clinic) and all the gray areas in between. Nick Fallin never does strike a balance between the law office and the legal clinic; instead, he is perpetually see-sawing between the two offices and is always in danger of falling off!
