Ooh, Ricky Nelson. What a dreamboat with those blue eyes. I remember watching this show occasionally and would love to see it again. Hokey stories where everything comes out fine in half an hour and we all wished we had families like that and you can’t go wrong with that. Especially with that dreamy Ricky on screen.

There are times when I mention to the younger generations the TV shows we used to watch and some of the social norms that were expressed through those shows. This was a great one for demonstrating how family interaction occurred and the outcomes of bad choices versus bad consequences in a healthy approach to discipline. I would would sit glued to this series week after week and the Nelson boys are still a favorite in my heart and my imagination.
