Not everyday I find interesting news about an animated horror flick coming to us from Dreamworks. In fact, after the sci-fi mixed bag that was Monsters Vs. Aliens, I’m just a bit leery of Gil’s All Fright Diner, a movie that features werewolves and vampires, working together against a plague of the undead.
On the one hand, this sounds like it could be a really exciting combination. I like the idea of vampires and werewolves working together against a common, equally monstrous enemy.
But on the other hand, remembering what Dreamworks did to the Creature from the Black Lagoon back in Monsters Vs. Aliens, well, I admit that I’m not encouraged by Dreamworks’ take on classic movie monsters.
The concept, however, is sufficiently interesting to allow me to suspend judgment until the movie actually comes out. It’s a bit worrisome, but I have high hopes.
Hopefully, they’ll be justified with a quality film.
