‘Fired! Tales of the Canned, Cancelled, Downsized and Dismissed’ is hitting stores tomorrow. Based on the personal experience of Annabelle Gurwitch, who was fired from a Woody Allen play, decided she wasn’t going to sulk. Instead of being depressed she looked at other people of all walks of life who had been let go from one job or another in their lifetime.
In her documentary, Gurwitch interviews Tim Allen, laid off GM workers from Michigan, and more in her look at getting the boot from a company.
Not only did Gurwitch make a documentary from her experiences, she has written a book and also has done a play on the subject. Talk about parlaying from a bad situation. So, if you have ever been let go from a job, you may want to take a look at other peoples experiences that are portrayed in this film.
