According to online identity experts Garlik – who have recently launched QDOS, the world’s first system to measure an individual’s digital status –Clooney is currently making the most noise in the online world with a QDOS score of 6904 – far ahead rivals Daniel Day-Lewis (4599), Johnny Depp (5128) Tommy Lee Jones (5411) and Viggo Mortensen (4720). Cate Blanchett failed to secure an Oscar for her leading role in ‘Elizabeth’ but in the online world she has come out in the top spot compared to her opponents. Blanchett scores a QDOS of 5557 compared to Julie Christie (5488), Laura Linney (5117) and Ellen Page (4675). Whilst Oscar winner Marion Cotillard lags behind her peers online with a QDOS score of just 4402.  Tom Ilube, CEO of Garlik said: “The internet has a way of turning accepted notions of status on its head. Digitally savvy actors such as George Clooney and Cate Blanchett May have lost out on the night, but their digital status dwarfs their Oscar winning rivals, opening up all sorts of opportunities as the whole world of entertainment goes digitalâ€.
