While the ending of the third Bourne film left it open for another entry, many thought that would be the last of the series. However, the first confirmation for a fourth film in the franchise was given producer Frank Marshall at this past Tuesday’s Saturn Awards, where he told IESB that he hopes to be shooting the film next summer for release in 2010.
He notes that there are no plans to follow any of the storyline from the fourth book in the series (“The Bourne Legacy”), and that they have plans to set a lot of the action in South America this time though.
Further information on the movie is expected as it develops.
