Remeber the end of Shaun Of The Dead where the surviving zombies are domesticated? Well Canadian flick Fido takes that premise and runs with it.
Set in a “small town lost in the idyllic world of the 50’s, where the sun shines every day, everybody knows their neighbor, and rotting zombies carry the mail,” little Timmy is fascinated by his new zombie Fido (Billy Connolly, believe it or not). Things go horribly wrong when Fido eats the next door neighbor, hence Timmy’s deadpan “Too bad you had to go and eat Mrs. Henderson.”
I’m pretty excited about this one. There’s been a definite dearth of clever silliness recently, films like Epic Movie being plenty silly but not too smart.
According to Cinematical, this should be in theaters June 15th 2007.
