Filming on Iron Man 2 is going along fine and dandy it appears from this Empire Online post where they detail their recent visit to the set where they briefly chatted with director Jon Favreau and actor Mickey Rourke.
They write that shooting is currently at the halfway point. However, Favreau hints that Jim Rhodes’ (Don Cheadle) character could be decked out as War Machine sooner than we may think.
Moving on to Rourke: he’s enjoying his work but admits that it is tough. "It’s been really brutal, because my Iron Man suit weighs 23lb,” said Rourke. “It’s sort of a half-suit, with half my skin showing, with lots of Russian tattoos, because [Whiplash is just] out of a Russian-zone prison.”
The film is set for release next summer.
