Edgar Wright Joins Grindhouse Trailer Team
Rob Zombie and Eli Roth are already signed up, and now we can add Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright to the Grindhouse trailer team. This also confirms Edgar Wright’s rise to “cool indie director” status. The attention surrounding Spaced and Shaun Of The Dead tended to focus on Wright’s collaborator Simon Pegg - probably because as an actor he has the more visible presence - so it’s great to see Wright invited to hang with the cool kids. 5 Responses to “Edgar Wright Joins Grindhouse Trailer Team”Leave a Reply |
The exciting thing about the upcoming
Rob Zombie I could see, but Eli Roth… not so much. Even if Eli Roth is buddy-buddy with Rodriguez, there’s sooooo much more talent out there to choose from. At least better than a one-hit wonder who’s hit was a good premise disguised in a snuff film. But whatever floats your boat…
Anyways: Edgar Wright is an excellent choice! Talk about cult favorite, I really approve of this casting. I think for the next casting they should get someone really obscure like Takashi Miike or David Lynch. Perfect!
Agreed. I think the Eli Roth thing has more to do with whatever relationship he has with Tarantino after QT executive produced Hostel.
Oh hey, you know what? You’re right: Eli Roth is buddy-buddy with QT, NOT Rodriguez. Yeah, him executive producing Hostel and Hostel II is what I’m thinking of. I don’t know why Rodriguez popped into my mind.
no,no,no, eli roth is an amazing director, eli roth is the horror director we all been waiting for! he will change the world!
have just heard that Katie Melua features in Edgar Wright’s Grindhouse trailer
