Drew Barrymore has just signed on to star in a new Disney movie, “South of the Border”, in which she will play the voice of a Chihuahua named Chloe. But Chloe is no ordinary dog - she’s a pampered Hollywood pooch who gets lost while attending a spa in Mexico with her owner. The spoiled, purse-toted pup must find some way to find her way home, and through her misfortune finds her true legacy.

Other big name stars have also signed on to lend their voices to the film. Andy Garcia will play a German shepherd who loses his sense of smell, George Lopez will play a chihuahua who falls in love with Chloe, and Salma Hayek will play the voice of a spirit guide. Placido Domingo, Cheech Martin, and Paul Rodriguez will also voice characters in the film.

The movie will be directed by Raja Gosnell, and at this time, there is no word of when it might be released.
