Youtube is home to a literal mixed bag in the short film category. There are all sorts of small directors and studios taking a run at the site looking for exposure and hopefully a way to make it big. Don’t Look Back is just one of thousands of entrants, and it’s actually pretty good.
Don’t Look Back features a young woman who comes home from grocery shopping only to discover that something’s gone very wrong in her home. But when she finds herself faced with a horrible set of instructions, she discovers that following them might well save her life.
Admittedly, it’s a strange concept for a horror movie, but it’s also a pretty entertaining one at that. For a movie running less than four minutes, it’s a very atmospheric little chiller and good for your time investment, which admittedly is not much.
This little short film gets plenty of respect from the Screenhead Ten Scale, which hands it a seven out of ten for being a solid frightener, even if not for very long.
