Don Cheadle talks about Talk to Me

don cheadle as petey greeneWill Talk to Me bring Don Cheadle another Oscar nomination? The buzz is looking good for this film with Cheadle portraying Sixties’ disk jockey Petey Greene. Those who love to devote their mornings listenting to “shock jocks” may want to consider viewing this film about a pioneer in the field, as well as a person who gave Howard Stern early exposure. I’m looking forward to seeing a new film by Kasi Lemmons, the very talented director of Eve’s Bayou. Co-starring with Cheadle is Chiwetel Ejiofor, and while I can’t pronouce his name correctly, he’s become one of the most respected younger actors around having worked with Spike Lee, Woody Allen and Alfonso Cuaron. In his interview in Coming Soon, Cheadle discusses Greene, the development of Talk to Me and his future projects, including a possible bio-pic about Miles Davis. Talk to Me opens in select locations this Friday.
