Disney to Keep “Hannah Montana” in Theaters For Second WeekFebruary 4th, 2008 in Children, Movie News, Music |
It was billed as a limited engagement to last just one week, but the box office success of
“Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” this past week has Disney executives salivating at the thought of another lucrative week of earnings. So, they’ve decided to keep it around. Not to disappoint any tweens that might have gotten shut out of seeing this past weekend, Disney announced today that they would let it run another week. And if it sells out again this week, they’ll probably announce another run, and let it continue until the insanity dies down.
Have you already seen it? Well some cinemas are hoping you’ll come back for a second viewing, and are offering incentives. For example, Cinemark is giving moviegoers $5.00 the second time they see it as long as they bring a valid ticket stub from their first viewing.
