Disney to Chart Flight of the Navigator

flight-of-the-navigator THR reports that Disney Pictures is developing a remake of 1986 sci-fi family film Flight of the Navigator.

The original film followed a 12-year old boy who was abducted by aliens and returns eight years later, still at the same age and with no memory of what happened. NASA scientists try to exploit the boy as they find a connection between him and a downed spacecraft, but he escapes and tries to reunite with his family.

Todd Lieberman is directing the film, which is being penned by Brad Copeland (Arrested Development).
