After actor Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly Buffington’s newborn twins were accidentally given large doses of the blood thinner, heparin, they went after the makers and smacked them with a $50,000 lawsuit. The suit is aimed at Deerfield, Illinois based drugmakers; Baxter Healthcare Corporation because they failed to recall the medicine after 3 infants in Indianapolis died last year from overdoses and packaging different doses of the drug in similar bottles.
