Danny Boyle’s Sunshine Trailer Now Online
January 17th, 2007 in Movies, Trailers
The trailer for Danny Boyle’s Sunshine is now online, and you can see it by clicking here.
The trailer was actually leaked by some determined fans, but the official Sunshine website has taken the news in good humour:
As many of you probably already know, the ‘Sunshine’ trailer was leaked today. Not purposely, I might add. You kids are just too sly and cunning (and have a talent with Google which is rather admirable!)
Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans and Rose Byrne (and others) are on a mission to re-ignite our dying sun, a bit like Armageddon with brain cells and style, and maybe a hint of Alien style claustrophobic spaceship living.
Sunshine will be released in the US on March 16t 2007, and in the UK on 6th April.

Why exactly do they have the Winter theme from Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet, from the “Requiem for a Dream” soundtrack in a horrible synthesizer version, as background music? Nauseating…

God, when will trailers stop using the Requiem for a Dream theme tune. The full orchestral version is too melodramatic, and it’s used in every second film. Besides, the film looks very insular, and the expansive style of the music conflicts with that vision.
Still, the movie does look fantastic. Can’t wait.

For the record, it’s not “Requiem for a Dream”.
It’s “Requiem for a Tower”.
