Cruise Wants to Remake Sundance Kid

41J0TK0MVGL._SL160_AA160_ UK dirt-disher The Daily Express claims that Tom Cruise hopes to produce a remake of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Apparently, he is so into it that he has already started interviewing potential screenwriters for the project where he would play Sundance. The role was originally made famous by Robert Redford in the original 1969 western. The role of Cassidy is said to be taken on by John Travolta.

The article also indicates that Cruise has been wanting to make the film for years now and only recently obtained Paul Newman’s blessings before he passed.
