Although it hasn’t been confirmed by Untied Artists, Variety reports that Tom Cruise and UA obtained the rights to the serial-killer thriller “The Monster of Florence.” Cruise is attached to produce and may star once he reads the script reported Douglas Preston who authored the bestseller.Preston along with Italo journo Mario Spezi told Carriere della Sera the signed a deal with UA for a big screen adaptation of their re-enactment of eight grisly double homicides believed to have been committed by one individual between 1968 and 1985 in and around the Italian Renaissance gem.
