Tony-award wining British theater and film director John Crowley signed up to direct the drama The Dogs of Babel.

Jamie Linden who scripted We are Marshall is set to adapt the bestselling novel, which tells the tale of a linguistics professor who returns home one day to find his wife dead in their backyard. To find out what happened, the professor attempts to teach the couple’s dog – the only witness to her death – to talk.

Crowley directed Is There Anybody There? starring Michael Caine and is in post-production.  

Crowley recently won a BAFTA Award for directing Boy A. (U.S. premiere at Tribeca).
