Cody and Spielberg Project

July 16th, 2008 in Directors, Idle Speculation, Movie News, Writers

I guess Steven Spielberg knows talent when he sees it or reads it.  He’s bouncing around another idea with Diablo Cody.

The Oscar-winning June screenwriter is set to write an untitled comedy script for DreamWorks that is based on an original idea by Spielberg.

Apparently, the studio is sticking to tradition by is keeping the story details under such tight wraps that even dealmakers were in the dark.

This not the first time Cody and Spielberg collaborated. Cody wrote the pilot and is exec producing Showtime series “The United States of Tara,” also based on an original idea from Spielberg.

Spielberg also thought-out directing the teen pregnancy comedy at some point in the process of the movie getting made.
