Clooney to open Toronto Film Festival

george clooneyStarring and co-produced by George Clooney, the film Michael Clayton has been chosen to have its world premiere opening the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is the directorial debut of Tony Gilroy, who also wrote the script. Gilroy is probably best known for writing the screenplays for the three Jason Bourne films including the soon to be released Bourne Ultimatum. Clooney plays the part of a “fixer” at a large corporate law firm who finds himself with challenges to his career and his life. The cast includes Tilda Swinton, director Sydney Pollack, Tom Wilkinson and Ken Howard. Michael Clayton is scheduled for general release on October 5, with the official site including the trailer for your viewing pleasure.
