‘Charlie Wilson’s War” Opens Today!
The picture penned by Aaron Sorkin stars Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman definitely carries political overtones. But with a director like Mike Nichols and its star power the picture could come out ahead. We shall see after this long weekend of silver screenings. 4 Responses to “‘Charlie Wilson’s War” Opens Today!”Leave a Reply |

I keep having mixed feelings about this movie. On the one hand, it might be a runaway hit, while on the other hand, it’s possible no one will see it or care. I’m really interested to see how the box office numbers pile up.
Me too.
“Book of Secrets” is more likely to score better with 3000+ theaters versus “Charlie” with 2500+ theaters; or “I am Legend” stays on top.
I love Mike Nichols movies. Remember
“Working Girl” or “Primary Colors” — they did well.
Mike Nichols is a great director and really knows how to cast a movie. Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts — you can’t get any better than that; now can you.
