Celebs Gear Up For Ride of Their Lives

Who knows how enjoyable it will be to watch on television, but I am sure celebrities had a blast making ‘”Fast Cars & Superstars - Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race”. The latest ABC is set to air before the NBA Finals. A good lead in because on the debut installment it features two big names of the sports world in Serena Willians and John Elway. Among other celebs to get behind the wheel of a race car will be Jewel, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, William Shatner, and Bill Cower.
The show will run for seven episodes and be hosted by ESPN’s Kenny Mayne and former Cleveland Cavaliers center Brad Daugherty (kind of synergy considering that the Cavs will be playing in the Finals for the first time in their history).
Expect to be bombarded by a fair amount of product placements considering racing already has that type of advertising and Gillette is the sponsor of the show. The show will benefit from being the NBA lead in but I seriously doubt that the show will last more than one season.
