Tribes of October, a postapocalptic thriller has quite a lineup of actors to star in director Philippe Martinez film. Rayraystevenson Stevenson, Jaime King and Stephen Moyer are aboard with Robert Duvall and James Caan still negotiating deals.

October
takes place in the future with New York surrounded by a never ending desert plagued by heat storms. The city’s technology makes about everything after 1960 obsolete. In comes a detective (Stevenson), who goes after a Mafia don (Caan) who is going after the remnants of the NYPD, led by Duvall. The detective is at the same time searching for the love of his life (King). Moyer plays a cynical and street-smart detective.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the production is hoping for a summer start in Michigan using greenscreen to create a unique look and distinct universe, with Martinez flying to the Festival de Cannes to preview the first seven minutes of the CGI work.
