Butler and Heigl Together in Romantic ComedyJanuary 29th, 2008 in Actors, Comedy, Movie News, Movies, Romance, The Movie Biz |

“The Ugly Truth†signed Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler to star in the comedy film about the battle of the sexes. I think they make a nice couple.
Heigl plays a romantically ineffective morning show producer who is reluctantly over-involved with her chauvinistic correspondent, Butler, in a series of appalling tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.
Butler is such a versatile actor. I first saw him in “Phantom of the Opera†(felt drawn to his persona) and then in “300†I barely recognized him. In “Dear Frankie” he was lovable.
Butler’s been super busy with “P.S. I Love You.†Then he is starring in “Nim’s Island†and “Rocknrolla.â€

“Dear Freddie”????
Dear Frankie, I believe. The new movie sounds funny and I am looking forward to it.

Was hoping he’d move away from the rom coms, but I guess not. Am I the only person who’s not utterly enamored with Heigl?

I agree. I love Gerry in small, independent films and/or big blockbusters like 300. Heigl is just not that interesting. However, I love Gerry in ANY movie!

Yes, it is “Frankie.” Yikes, I will correct it.
Gerard is my kind of man. What is it about Scots?
