Those idiot drunken frat boys who made all kinds of racial slurs in Borat have had their legal action to block the DVD release of the film laughed out of court by a Los Angeles judge.
Two of the three South Carolina fraternity brothers filed legal papers claiming they were tricked intointo making the racist and sexist comments which have since made them “objects of ridicule”.
I have no trouble believing that Sacha Baron Cohen and co. used slightly underhand tactics (like plying them with alcohol) to coax out this unsavoury, and dare I say it Red Neck side of the fratsters personalities. But sorry fellas.. no matter how drunk you were, you still said what you said. In vino veritas and all that.
And the cheeky racist scamps are still pursuing a separate civil case seeking monetary compensation for their “anguish”!
If there’s any justice in the world they’ll be forced to watch their Borat scene on DVD – with the volume turned way up – at least once a week for the rest of their lives until they see the error of their ways.
